Dr. Julia Rahn is a Clinical Psychologist with more than twenty years of experience in helping individuals and families reach their personal goals. Her key to success is working with the whole person, focusing on their strengths to overcome life challenges. She firmly believes that the process of psychotherapy can alleviate depression, manage anxiety and other difficult emotions, and improve relationships with others as well as with one self. After training throughout the Midwest, teaching at the university level, and working in private practice, it became clear to her that the best way to serve her clients was to collect all of her therapeutic efforts and resources under one roof. Thus, she created Flourish Studios, a place for individuals, couples, and families to find hope, new direction, and support on how to overcome life challenges and live their best life. Melanie Arons, LcPC, Adult and Child Therapist
Melanie Arons has a Master’s degree in Family Counseling and enjoys working with children, teenagers and adults. She specializes in working with children and families struggling with school and learning difficulties as well as behavioral issues at home and school. Melanie’s past experience includes working as a psychotherapist and high school counselor as well as a teacher working with children diagnosed with learning and behavior disabilities at Jewish Child Family Services. Melanie is a strengths-based therapist who uses mostly solution-focused, cognitive behavioral and client-centered therapy. She is also trained in play therapy to support her interventions with young children. Her experience working with adults include helping individuals and couples overcome depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief, eating disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, and addictions. CAROLYN A. BARSANO, PSY.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Carolyn A. Barsano specializes in prevention and treatment for children and adolescents with mental illness. Carolyn conducts individual and family psychotherapy and psychological testing, and is also trained as a provider of early childhood assessment and intervention. She has a special interest in attachment issues, acting-out behaviors and childhood trauma/abuse. Carolyn is experienced in working with individuals of all ages, treating a range of clinical issues related to mood disorders, self-esteem, grief and loss, attention deficit and hyperactivity, educational or occupational difficulties, and life transitions. Kathi Fine, Ph.D., Anxiety Specialist & Singles Specialist
Dr. Kathi Fine specializes in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for clients of all ages. CBT is an evidence-based therapy which has been proven by research to be successful. Though therapy can be short-term, results are anticipated to have lasting effects. Dr. Fine’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and supportive, with a focus on tailoring each session to the needs of the individual client. Dr. Fine has the utmost respect for each of her clients and the difficulties they are experiencing. She also strongly believes in her clients’ abilities. Dr. Fine focuses on using clients’ strengths to both empower them to reach their goals as well as to help them with areas of concern. Lesley Foreman, MA, LCSW, Psychotherapist
Lesley focuses on the individual client. For her, each client is different, unique and deserves a dynamic, flexible approach to therapy. Human development strongly influences her theoretical foundation. She firmly believes that wellness is an inside out job, that physical illness can manifest from emotional pain and that often times, one’s psychology can become one’s biology. Cathy Hennessy Price is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children, teens and families. Amy P. Teitelbaum is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families within a variety of therapeutic settings. She received her Master of Social Work from New York University. Her specialty is working with children and adolescents with behavioral and adjustment challenges in the home, school, and community setting. Amy’s past experiences include working as a social worker at public, private, and therapeutic schools. Judith Wenz, MSMFT, AMFT, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Judith Wenz earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Institute at Northwestern University. She draws upon a variety of therapy models and creative interventions, and helps her clients achieve their personal goals by exploring the relationships between their thoughts, feelings, body, history, relationships, patterns, and environment. In order to facilitate change, Judith works with the strengths of her clients while working to overcome barriers that prevent them from achieving the life they want to create. She is developing herself to become a mind-body focused therapist and has completed her yoga teacher training. Judith is also a certified facilitator through PREP-Enrich, an assessment tool for pre-marital couples as well as couples in all life stages looking to improve their relationship.
